After the fall of Berlin, American troops scrambled into former government buildings, including the Reich Chancellery, to find souvenirs. Those related to or belonging to Adolf Hitler were by far the most prized. By the time many troops arrived these buildings had been picked over by Russians and other Americans, and they were forced to take anything else they could find. This magazine rack was found in the Reich Chancellery.
