Japanese Type 99 Light Machine Gun with Battle Damage

To the Japanese soldier in World War II who was faced with insurmountable odds, death in battle was the only honorable choice. To surrender without shame and dishonor was simply not possible. The operator of this Type 99 was surely killed when US rifle fire struck the receiver and rear sight aperture of his weapon.
