Jay Bollman's Jacket

Gift of Jay Bollman, 2009.561.001

The Bollman Family was interred in the Los Banos Civilian Concentration Camp from July 8, 1944 until February 23, 1945. After liberation they were sent to Bilibid Prison Camp. They were then sent home via San Pedro, California. Jay Bollman's jacket was made from Army OD wool Blanket material by nurses before the Bollman family was sent via ship to the United States. Embroidered in red at the neck is the child's initials, “JB”.
