Delta Shipyard Welding Mask

Philip Giroir, Sr. wore this welding mask while working on Liberty ships at Delta Shipbuilding in New Orleans. The mask protected Giroir from sparks and welding slag as he helped to build many of the 187 Liberty ships produced at Delta during the war.
