M-2 Jungle First Aid Kit

Soldiers and marines fighting in the tropical environments of the Pacific had to contend with medical situations not faced by servicemen in other theaters. These included everything from Malaria to severe risk of infection As a result these servicemen were issued with an additional First Aid Kit containing items to help combat these problems. Included in this pack are a Carlisle bandage in metal case, Atabrine and Halazone tablets (to combat Malaria and purify water, respectively), an iodine vial to combat the frequent infections to wounds, and an adhesive compress.
