Japanese Army Officer's Sword

A variety of swords were carried and used by members of the Japanese military. Many of these were brought home to the US by American servicemen. This one was found near the body of a Japanese soldier near Garapan on Saipan by Eno Hunter, who served with the 2nd Marine Division.
