US Merchant Marine Academy Diploma
The US Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, New York, trained nearly 7,000 mariners during World War II. To meet wartime demand, the coursework was reduced from four years to 18 months, and two satellite academies were established in Pass Christian, Mississippi, and San Mateo, California. This diploma was awarded to Stanley Zwicke on June 30, 1944.
